  • MS SQL Server 7.0 or higher
  • 130 Column Printer (Wipro 1040+, Wipro  LQDSI 5235, TVS MSP 345 or similar)

1.      Please download the attached ZIP file ‘PensionSetup.zip’ (Required Broadband internet connection).
2.      Download and Copy this file to the target machine (at first Choose a machine with SQL Server Installed, This is required, to create Database and other initial settings). Unzip and Double click (execute) the ‘PensionSetup.exe. Please follow onscreen informations to complete the installations.
3.      Installation process is fully automatic. Setup will create all initial working environments, including new Database, DSN, and other settings. In Multiple SQL Server environments, setup will choose the default available server for DSN. When starting application from Client, if it is not starting, please check the DSN and name a correct server that you are using.
4.      You must install a copy of Smart Pension in your server machine, because DATABASE CREATION procedures are included along with the setup. During the final stage of installation ‘New Database Creation’ wizard will appear. This wizard will help you to create Pension Database. For test purpose you can also load sample data during this process.  You can also start this wizard from Smart Pension Program Group at any time after installation. Please cancel this wizard during client installations.
5.      After Database Creation wizard finishes it’s job, Setup will also start the Data Migration tool – a tool which help you to migrate your pension data from Microsoft Excel to SQL Server. A Microsoft Excel Template file is provided for this purpose.  You can open this file from the Smart Pension Program Group for later use.  This is a specified format file for the migration purpose and the format should not be altered.
6.      Copy your pension details from your existing excel file and paste the same into the specified format file correctly.  Please note that certain ‘Comments’ (a red indication will be displayed in the top right portion of the cell) in the column labels of Excel sheet. Please read & understand all comments provided. Columns for Certain Codes are provided, namely PTYPE & PMODE. PTYPE is for pension type i.e. 1 for Service Pension and 2 for Family Pension.  PMODE is for Payment Mode, i.e. 1 for Through Bank, 2 for Money Order Board’s Cost and 3 for Money order Pensioner’s Cost.  Up to Column NP is considered as Basic Pension Details.  You can migrate to SQL server with these details.
7.      Details such as Designation and Category are optional, but are required for printing Budgetary Control forms.
8.      Address details are optional for printing Money order forms and Pension Certificate, etc.
9.      It is a good idea to enter these details in the template file and migrate to SQL Server.  Because after migration process you have to update these details in PPO Number wise. i.e. Select one PPO and Update details, then select another PPO and so on.
10. Optionally you can do migration partly, i.e. in first part with basic payment details (columns up to NP) and Second part (for address details) with columns, PPONO, Name, Designation, Category, HName, Place, PO, PIN filled. Select the ‘Update Address only’ Check Box for this purpose. How ever before doing this (2nd Part) you should migrate basic pension payment details. i.e. the first part should be done in advance.
